Arizona State University has built a partnership with Canon ink cartridges and printer developer to help the university achieve sustainable development with digital university standard. The associate vice president of ASU Jason said taht they are very grateful to Canon's support to help moving them closer to ASU 2025 carbon-neutrality. They were able to take 584 printers offline across ASU in one year, and to increase the number of devices supported for duplex printing.
Canon ink cartridges and printer developer team regularly conducts site evaluations and makes efficient equipment recommendations to help ASU achieve the goal. Printer and inkjet cartridges developer Canon carried out an assessment at ASU during 2011 found that more than 725 trees were saved from duplex printing. On top of that, it also managed to save 2.34 million liters of water and reduce carbon emissions by over 740,000 tons. Printers setting duplex mode can help the environment by massive inroads.
