Manufacturers' inks test result

Even experts hate to pay full price printer ink. PC World's Jeff Bertolucci wrote "I became a serial refiller when I realized that my printer's ink cartridges cost more per milliliter than human blood or Russian caviar". He has been testing cheap refilled ink cartridges for many years, such as ink cartridges you can buy in the cartridges world or Office Depot. However, when the print quality and durability really count, that is, when you print for customers wedding photo albums or presentation files, independent tests have shown that the original brand of your printer ink does produce the best looking, most fade resistant printouts.

Not all manufacturers' print ink are the same. The primary sources including impartial consumer testing organizations scrutinized printouts for flawstest after various brands of ink by printing page after page until the cartridges are exhausted, and attacked them with high-intensity lights and ozone to see which ones fade. Overall, Canon printer ink hold the edge in most top tests, although HP ink and Epson ink win some, too, but no matter what brand of printer you have to test you almost always get the best results with the brand ink. For example, the Lexmark doesn't print as beautifully as Canon ink in testing, but it is usually higher performed than the store brand inks in Lexmark printers.
