Brother toner cartridge printers can print thousands of pages from a single cartridge instead of inkjet cartridge printers. However, toner cartridge printers also are tend to show a "low on toner" message, and stop running. If you want to solve this problem, you need to reset the toner.
Now here is the steps to reset the Brother toner cartridges:
1.Take your Brother toner cartridge out from the printer. To do this, press the tab next to your device's cartridge, and remove the cartridge.
2.Cover printer's sensor light with opaque tape. Look on the side portion of your printer to find the sensor. Put the cartridge back in. Check to see if the printer works.
3.Put the cartridge of your toner in and take it out five times to fool your device into believing you've installed a new toner cartridge. Once your printer senses something that functions as a new cartridge, it starts to print in the normal way again.
